Upcoming iPhone 8 Leaks: OLED Screen, Water-Resistance, Glass Design and More

Apple launched its very first iPhone way back in 2007 and is re-shaping the smartphone industry forevermore. Now after 10 years of first iPhone launch, Apple is reportedly working on a major design revamp on the upcoming iPhone 8.

Here’s a list of the most recent iPhone 8 leaks and news.

OLED screen and USB-Type C: According to leaks, Apple will introduce OLED displays and USB-C connections to the iPhone for the first time.

IP68 Water-Resistant Certification: iPhone 8 is tipped to be IP68-certified, which means it could withstand submersion in water for 30 minutes at a depth of 150cm.

Stainless Steel Chassis and Glass Design: Reports claim that, iPhone 8 will sport a metal frame, with one iPhone model getting an all-glass design.

Wireless Charging: Apple is reported to add wireless charging capability to one of the upcoming iPhone 8 model.

Function Area coming to iPhone: iPhone 8 is tipped to get a dedicated function area on the bottom of the screen which we have already seen in the MacBook Pro.

The biggest design change in the upcoming iPhone would be its screen-to-body ratio which describes how much of the phone’s front is occupied by display.
